Mr. Savitz is a leader in the field of Real Estate Law. His expertise provides clients with effective and sound guidance through complicated real property transactions. He is the only Montgomery County attorney to receive the Affiliate of the Year award from both the Montgomery County and Maryland Association of Realtors.

Mr. Savitz graduated from Indiana University in 1971, and from the American University, Washington College of Law in 1975. He is admitted to practice law before the U.S. Supreme Court, and the State and Federal Courts in Maryland, West Virginia, and D.C. He is a member of the American Bar Association, as well as the Bar Associations of Montgomery County, Maryland, the State Bar Associations of Maryland and West Virginia, as well as the D.C. Bar Association.

Mr. Savitz actively participates in the life of the community. From 1997-2007, he served on the board of the Shady Grove Hospital Foundation. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Wells Robertson House and serves on the Market Square Advisory Board of the City of Gaithersburg. Among the groups he has served are the Board of Directors of Chambers of Commerce in Gaithersburg and Potomac, the American Red Cross, the Private Industry Council, the United Way Attorneys' Division (as Chairman) and the Montgomery County Child Care Commission.

Mr. Savitz is a regular lecturer for the Frederick County Board of Realtors and several private real estate schools. He has provided hundreds of hours of Continuing Education Credit lectures.
